Bloated

No, I'm not writing about computer software. (Though I have been enjoying using the iCab web browser.) I've been feeling bloated and heavy today. Probably I've been eating too much, especially snacking. I went to the gym this morning and found that I'd gained back a distressingly large amount of the weight I'd lost (though some of that might just be day-to-day variance -- I'd also been feeling a little constipated in the morning).

In the evening, It was off to Le Fritte Kot for the monthly meeting of NYC-area contributors to rec.arts.sf.fandom. I ate far too many french fries with curry mayonnaise sauce, and too many of the chocolate-slathered graham crackers that Lise Eisenberg brought, and then when we went out for Italian food after I ate far too much pizze puttanesca. I also chatted about RPGs with Gareth Skarka, a rasseff-lurker who showed up this month for the first time.

Tonight's Buffy sure advanced this season's plot arc in a hurry. Or at least some of it. The writers have been having Willow just spin her wheels for the past few episodes. And could the female genital mutilation allegory in this week's Angel have been any more obvious?
